I started being interested in Vampire Miyu after I've seen some official art on the net. The pictures were very different than the usual anime stuff, like the coloring and such. At that point, I searched for storylines and other info so I can get the idea of the anime. I didn't find much, most websites I visited only had like 4 lines of character profiles and a few pictures and they were just abandoned on the net, with broken links and whatnot. In other words, I didn't find any decent VP Miyu site. Of course, there are a few good ones, but you have to search like hell to find them, cause if you query something in a search engine you'll just get 8 years old crap. Y'know?

Back on topic: I've seen some official art on the net and I fell in love with it =) So, I told myself that I had to see the series. And so I did. It quickly became one of my favorites and since I wanted to own an anime website I've decided it would be about VP Miyu. I'm really glad I was able to put together a quite decent website. To be honest, I never thought that Kanashii would end up such a comprehensive and appreciated site; and the fact that it had more and more visitors each day made me work harder on it.

The name of the site, "Kanashii", is Romaji (romanized Japanese) for "sad, sorrowful" and it was inspired by one of the tracks in the OAV soundtrack entitled Kanashii Sadame (Sad Fate). Actually, Kanashii Sadame was the first title of the site, but I've changed it to Kanashii only, as it was too long.
